Space Tube, Australian Pavilion, Expo 70, Osaka
Robin Boyd, 1970
Boyd was appointed the Exhibits Architect for Expo 70 in Osaka, following the same appointment at Expo 67 in Montreal. Boyd designed the Space Tube which contained the permanent exhibits showcasing Australian science, culture and way of life, as well as selecting films shown in the main pavilion (designed by James Maccormick) and curating thirteen seasonal displays in the Exhibition Hall.
